The Buffet Crampon Prestige bass clarinet is the classic among bass clarinets and has been built for many years.

It has a range up to low C, an Eb/Ab lever, a resonance hole on the funnel section and is equipped with three low D keys.

Compared to the Prestige, the Privilege and Tosca have mechanical advantages, e.g. an additional Eb on the thumb-push system, which the Prestige does not have. This system of the Privilege and Tosca will prevail in the future and is already standard today.
